Work in Progress

I sold my Winnie the Pooh rag quilt the other day so now I have to replace it in my shop.  I thought an Amy Butler quilt would be fun ....

I've added a pretty minky in an off-white color to go with both prints.  I decided to go with a gray flannel for the backing to pick up from the gray colors in both prints.  I sew a traditional "x" on all my squares sandwiching them together and then I sew each square together and then each row....

When it's all put together, I sew twice around the edges for durability.  Now comes the hard part .... clipping all the seams!  After that it will get washed and dried to start the raggy effect.  As soon as I get all that done it will be for sale in my Etsy store.

Newest Project

My granddaughter Brianna Bailey loves her crinkle taggie toys that I make for her.  So I decide to make a few for my etsy shop so that other little angels could enjoy these as well.  I got a few cute prints together and coordinated them with pretty minky fabric and ribbons.

These are a few taggies that I made and just listed in my store:

Hello Kitty Wonderfulness

I got my Hello Kitty ribbon and Hello Kitty fabric that I ordered from etsy in the mail and I couldn't wait to make something.  I made key fobs out of the ribbon and the fabric and I made some cutesie designer baby burp cloths out of the fabric.  I just love how they turned out!  I've been itching to sew for some time now .... and I just got my studio all organized so I can finally create.  I used to have my computer and sewing machine on one long craft table but that wasn't working very well.  Not enough space to do things and I always had fabric and threads all over my computer.  So I brought in an extra table and now I have my sewing station set up.  Now I can sew without the clutter.  Wonder what I'll make tomorrow ... hmmmm

Today's Projects

I haven't sewn in awhile and withdrawal was setting in.  I decided to make some adorable burp cloths and add them to my etsy store.  I love making these.  I decided to use the 2D zoo fabric from Alexander Henry and chenille.  I adore chenille.  Greatest invention ever lol

Now that I've sewn a few ... I want to sew more.  However, I get bored easy and find it hard to stick to just one project.  I think I'm going to make some key fobs now.  Some new ribbon I ordered just arrived and I can't wait to see a key fob made with it.

Here's a few pics of my burp cloths:
